This store has got to be Home Depot. The layout and products are similar, plus all the price tags have the similar font and colour scheme. It's called Bauhaus here. Here's Ocean and Jake checking out the flooring section.
Another shop, great lighting. I wish I had the $s and the luggage space to bring some home.
We visited the Uppsala Botanical Gardens. Here are some clematis growing over an arbour.
Water grasses at the Botanical Gardens.
Jake and Ocean napping among the dandelions and trees of North America section. Interestingly, weeds are everywhere in Uppsala and Stockholm. The standards about chemicals are much stricter and so the weeds have taken over. But it doesn't look bad, in fact it's one of the charms of the landscapes. I'm really interested in seeing how this is handled in Poland and France. Maybe I'll let my front yard go and call it European!
Ceiling in the Orangery at the gardens.
View of the formal part of the Gardens and Orangery in the background. This is taken from the steps of the castle that sits at the top of the hill.
Tower of Uppsala Castle. The Governor of Uppsala lives here now.
View of Domkyrka from the castle. Remember this from a few days ago.
Nice shot of one of the castle's doors.

Jake's Aunt Irene came for a visit. She helped to take care of Jake when he was a kid and a bit after his dad died. She lives in Uppsala.
