A three week trip to Stockholm and Uppsala in Sweden; Słupca and Warsaw in Poland; and Paris, France.

About this blog

This is our personal travel journal.

As a bonus, we welcome you to read along as we experience the trip.

We will attempt to post (mostly photos) as often as we can, depending on internet access availability.

From Toronto to Stockholm

First off, we're here outside of Stockholm, in Uppsala. We made it safe and sound after two flights.

Secondly, I apologize if the formatting isn't great, the software for this blog is defaulting to Swedish because it's picking up our location automatically.. so.. I'm trying to read all the options, etc in Swedish. I suppose I can look forward to doing this in Polish and French as well as the trip progresses.

Our Air France plane.. a huge 747 but still not much legroom.

After taking off, we flew over our neighbourhood, we actually saw our house..circled in red. We live about an hour from the airport so this was actually very cool.

Sunrise over Paris just before we land.

On the runway in Paris, we passed by the Concorde on display, sad that it doesn't fly anymore.

We were happy to see Inniskillin ice wine in Paris at the duty free.. a bit of Canadian pride.. not cheap though.

One of the many moving kilometre long sidewalks at Paris CDG airport.

And then we took another plane to Stockholm. Here is Jake's sister Kasia, her partner Ocean and their older daughter, Evelyn.
